Sherlock Holmes – The adventure of the Copper Beeches
If I had to describe this book in one word, I would say it was great. I have always had interest in crime stories, I have even read Holmes stories before, but this is on a whole other level. It is an original one. It was written more than 100 years ago and you can feel it whilst reading. It has a nice atmosphere. The writer, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is an influential figure in the history of crime stories or shall I say the most influential one? By all means he has influenced whole generations of writers and this is one of his stories from a hundred years ago.
The story is just like one would expect: an intriguing plot with a satisfying finish. The language is a bit extreme and old-timey, but it just adds to the atmosphere.
All I can do is to recommend it!
